Calling all trans*, intersex, gender variant, and gender queer people, all friends, family allies and supporters! You are cordially invited to Brighton & Hove to celebrate at the UK's first Trans* Pride!
TRANS* MARCH 11.30-12.30
Warm up for the main event at the Trans* March. Community groups are urged to gather in numbers, wander with banners, at 11.30, Princes Street by The Marlborough.
Let's reclaim St. James Street! We'll start at 12.00 and make our way right up to New Steine Gardens, where we can relax and have a grand time.
TRANS* PRIDE IN THE PARK 12.00-18.00
We've transformed the beautiful New Steine Gardens in Kemp Town to a glorious and safe place for our community. Spend the afternoon listening to powerful speakers, entertainers and performers (TBC). Refreshments will be available, with plenty of choice (only alcohol purchased on site is permitted). Walk through our Community Fayre and get to know the people who support us, stand by us and evolve with us.
Entry is free of charge, with accessible toilets on site. Unfortunately no dogs allowed within the park site, but there are plenty of places to take your pooch for a stroll in the local area.
TRANS*FRAU 20.00-LATE
Our friends at Traumfrau Brighton have given us the gift of music and dance with a special night at The Blind Tiger Club. We have live performances by Rhyannon Styles, and Lazlo Pearlman, followed by DJs (TBC) for all your dancing urges from 22.00.
