The 2 LGBT groups & the Transgender group in Barrow-in-Furness are organising an LGBT Christmas party for all LGBT people & their supporters to join together in support and socialise in a safe environment. This is adventurous, and never been done on this scale before in Barrow.
The venue is Skint nightclub formerly Scorpios nightclub, 16 December 2011, it is exclusively LGBT from 19:00pm-00:00am but continues until 5.00am for the party animals when other club members will join us!! It’s a chance for us to get together and have some fun and maybe dance to some camp tunes! We also have the Majestic Hotel where the LGBT communities can get together for a drink

We have secured affordable accommodation in the rather lovely "Majestic Hotel” rooms from £30 up to £55 for guests attending the event from away (there is already an interest in the rooms).
Hotel Majestic is in a safe triangle, the Police station is in between Skint Nightclub & the Majestic Hotel & there are plenty of CCTV cameras, we have arranged for the main Camera to be vigilant on our venue, safety is paramount.
There will be sufficient space for all the trans people to change at the venue. Not all trans people are confident to arrive for the Christmas party how they would like and they are most welcome at the Christmas party.
