A journey of Lesbian and Gay History

5 February 2013, 1:00pm – 1:30pm

Lecture Theatre, Tullie House, Carlisle

Talk by Richard Kavanagh from Outreach Cumbria

The project, OutREACH Cumbria is keen to start the ball rolling and to open Gay History Month off with a talk.

The talk will describe the social and political ’journey’ of gay men and lesbians in Great Britain.

We also wish to develop a project to help enhance our collections and reflect Cumbria’s gay community within our collections. This will be an opportunity to sign up to help develop this project.

Admission is free and there is no need to book. The talks are popular, so please arrive promptly to secure your place.

Talks start at 1pm in the Lecture Theatre.

The Lecture Theatre is equipped with induction loops. Wheelchair access is available but limited. Guide dogs are welcome.

If you let Tullie House know your requirements in advance, by telephoning 01228 618718, they will reserve suitable seating for you.
