Trans Lakes Night Out

The next ‘transgender' meet starts at 7.00pm and is on Tuesday 11th March 2014.
Initially a night in at CADAS , 52 Paradise St, Barrow in Furness, LA14 1JG. then into town, venues dependent upon trans attendees wishes and safety. Open to all trans people and their friends. £2 entrance fee towards the venues costs.

Trans Lakes Nights Walking Weekend

Accommodation Included
The walking section has arranged overnight accommodation for up to 12 trans people for weekend Fri 21- Sun 23rd March 2014.
Accommodation for Fri & Sat nights has been reserved in local B & B Hotel in Ambleside.
The intent is for the participants to have walks on each of the three days. One walk per day, the option of either 4 miles or 6 mile walk that should suit prevailing weather for those wishing to enjoy walking `in the Lake District`.
The event is subsidised by a `local grant`; that allows the weekend [2 nights] to be offered at just £60 [pp] for the two-night B&B weekend.
Pipit and Rachel (established local walkers) will lead the walks, dependent upon the walks individuals wish to participate in. Otherwise, if you do not wish to participate in any particular walk, you could spend time around the shops and other local amenities, whilst linking up with the group in the evening for meal and/or entertainment thereafter.
The evening is expected to include visiting one or more of the local restaurants in Ambleside, for a meal, and then enjoying local entertainment/s.
Once all the B&B places are booked, then it is our intention to encourage other potential participants to come along and either walk with us each day, or specific day/s by agreement, so they may meet together in the evenings should the whole weekend not be possible for some trans who non the less wish to participate in this unique walking weekend.
