Community Health and Wellbeing Fund

Cumbria Community Foundation    Cumbria County Council    NHS Logo  ACT Cumbria

Background

Funding through the NHS and Cumbria County Council for projects to improve health and reduce health inequalities.  This Fund has been created to empower local communities to create activities which improve the health and wellbeing of local people. It is known that people who are active and involved in communities and who feel able to access informal and formal support are both happier and healthier.

It aims to support grassroots community action and in particular projects identified through community plans, community exchange and village halls and Parish Councils. Its aim is to build on good will and voluntary activity in communities to develop new or enhanced projects.
