Fri 11th April: Step Into Politics - BME European Elections Debate - 9:30am – 3pm (lunch 12:30) Networking session 3 – 4pm at GMCVO St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green, Manchester, M12 6FZ
With the European elections approaching this May, we are bringing together voters and candidates who will be representing us at the 2014 European Parliamentary elections.
This is an event for Black and Minority, Refugee, Asylum seeking or migrant women who wish to engage with politics and political systems and speak to politicians who will be representing them in Europe. We would love to see you at this interactive and engaging event designed to discuss the role of the Members of the European Parliament in responding to our needs at home and addressing the BME female representation in politics.
- CHRIS WHITESIDE: Chairman of the Cumbria Area Conservatives, one of the candidates in this region to stand for the European Parliament elections.
- THERESA GRIFFIN: Number 1 on the Labour List for the May 2014 European Elections. Chair of the NW Regional Labour Party and on the National Policy Forum
