The next LGBT Forum hosted by OutREACH Cumbria and the Cumbria LGBT Alliance is Saturday 7 May 2011, from 10.00am to 15.00pm (lunch provided), in the Conference Room at Carlisle Enterprise Centre, James St, Carlisle, CA2 5BB.
The forum provides a space for LGBT people to come together and discuss topics and issues which they feel are important to them. They also enable the opportunity for networking between LGBT groups from across the county and to offer support to one another, and to share advice and skills.
Having a voice is important for the LGBT communities, without this we are not in a position to influence services and affect change. A collective voice is more effective than a single one.
Topics for the morning session discussions will include:
- Health – access
- Community services
The afternoon session will be an open discussion and also:
- Pride event – 1 October 2011
The Forum is open to anyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans.
