THE DIGITAL FOREST: ARTIST WORKSHOPS

Sign up to take part in digital workhops in the forest with artist Jessica El Mal!

DEADLINE 6th NOVEMBER 2020

Grizedale Forest, Signal Film and Media, AWAZ and artist Jessica El Mal would like to work with people who are Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic to explore the positive effects of nature, and how everyone has a right to feel its benefits. With art workshops in Grizedale Forest* and online, we will explore what the forest means to us through sound, photography, drawing and more.

There will be 4 workshops (2 on site at Grizedale Forest and 2 online).

Travel expenses and a £100 bursary will be provided.

If you would like to be take part, please email projects@awaz.info by November 6th to register your interest and let us know:

  • Your name & contact details
  • Where in Cumbria you live
  • Your ethnicity
  • A sentence or more on why you would like to take part
  • For people who want to participate in the on-site workshops we can arrange taxi collection points at Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside and Hawkshead and travel costs will be covered. For those who have their own transport we can cover petrol expenses and parking will be free for the visit.
