Care Quality Commission

If you've experienced a mental health crisis, would you be willing to share your thoughts about the help, care and support you got to help other like you?

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) make sure hospitals, care homes, dental and GP surgeries, and all other care services in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. Following a new agreement between police and the NHS to try and improve mental health crisis care, they want to get a better picture of where such care works well and where it doesn’t as part of their response.

They want to hear from you if you have :

  • had personal experience of a mental health crisis and tried to get help for it in the last two years
  • cared for others going through a crisis in the last two years

They also want to talk to groups or organisations that work with people who have experienced a crisis and/or have an interest in the quality of crisis care in their local area.

Your answers will help them learn how local services work together to support people during a crisis. One of the best ways to do this is to ask those who have experienced it first-hand – head over to the CQC website to take part and share your story.

You can also join the conversation on Twitter by looking out for #mentalhealth and #cqc or by following @carequalitycomm.
