Community Engagement - Your Chance To Meet Cumbria’s New Police And Crime Commissioner

Cumbria’s recently elected Police and Crime Commissioner, Peter McCall, is holding a series of public surgeries across the county and is inviting people to come along and share their views about policing in Cumbria.

Meeting the public regularly to listen to their views on policing is a significant responsibility for the Commissioner and one that Mr McCall promised to fulfil during his election campaign.

Mr McCall has commenced his series of surgeries in Barrow-in-Furness on Tuesday 31 May.

Mr McCall explains “I am really keen to speak to as many people as possible across the county as this will help with the development of the Police and Crime Plan which ultimately sets what I will deliver as Police and Crime Commissioner.

“Holding surgeries such as these is just one of the ways that I plan to interact with members of the public, and I urge people to take the opportunity to come along for a chat.  I would also like community groups to make contact, as I really want to get out in the community to see for myself the issues and how policing can help.”

No appointment is necessary, and Mr McCall will be at the following locations:
